Aquaguard-BW Brackish Water RO Antiscalant
High-efficiency antiscalant for brackish well water
Our services
Complete RO plants from design to operation and follow-up, for desalinating well water and seawater and producing water fit for industrial use.
Overview
Reverse osmosis is the most widely used technology for removing dissolved salts from water. A high-pressure pump drives the water through semi-permeable membranes that let water molecules pass while holding back most dissolved salts, producing two streams: low-salinity permeate and a reject stream that carries the concentrated salts.
Aqua System designs, supplies, installs and operates desalination plants of every size — from compact units for small factories to larger industrial plants — whether the source is brackish well water, seawater or mains water that must be conditioned for a specific industrial use.
An RO plant succeeds or fails before it is switched on. Total dissolved solids, hardness, iron, silica and suspended solids in the feed decide the membrane type and count, operating pressure, recovery and the pre-treatment the plant needs. Every project therefore starts with a review of your water analysis and end use, and we choose the design that meets the required quality at the lowest practical operating cost.
Membranes are the most valuable part of the plant, and most membrane problems trace back to weak pre-treatment. Depending on the water, our plants include sand or multimedia filters, carbon filters for chlorine removal, fine cartridge filters and dosing of the right antiscalant. After start-up we supply Aquaguard-BW for brackish water, Aquaguard-SW for seawater and replacement cartridge filters.
Problems we solve
High salinity in well water
Water that cannot be used for drinking or processing because of high total dissolved solids.
Inconsistent water quality
Fluctuating feed quality shows up in the final product and in customer complaints.
Membrane fouling and frequent cleaning
Scale and suspended solids on the membranes cut output and raise pressure and cost.
High energy use
A design that does not match the water analysis runs at higher pressure and burns more power.
System & treatment method
Sand or multimedia filtration and activated carbon, as the water requires, to remove turbidity and chlorine.
Cartridge filters protect the membranes, with a controlled dose of the right antiscalant.
A high-pressure pump pushes the water through the membranes to separate dissolved salts.
pH correction and disinfection or polishing to suit the end use.

Advantages
Designed around your water
No off-the-shelf box: membranes and stages are chosen for your source and use.
One party from design to operation
A single team is responsible for design, supply, installation, start-up and follow-up.
Operating chemicals from the same source
Aquaguard antiscalants for brackish water and seawater are Aqua System products.
Support after handover
Performance follow-up and supply of consumables and spare parts when needed.

Engineering & implementation
We visit the site, review the water source, its analysis and end use, and agree with your team on the problem and the target.
We define the treatment stages, capacity and equipment and submit a clear technical and commercial offer.
We supply the equipment, media and chemicals specified in the design and check them before they ship to site.
We install the unit, connect its piping and control panel, then start it up and tune it until it delivers the target water quality.
We hand the plant over to your operators with hands-on guidance on daily operation and periodic washing.
We follow the plant's performance, supply consumables and spare parts and provide technical support when needed.

FAQ
Seawater is far saltier than well water, so it needs dedicated membranes, higher operating pressure and finer pre-treatment. We confirm the right type after reviewing the water analysis.
Yes. An antiscalant matched to the water is normally dosed to protect the membranes from scale, and the membranes may need periodic chemical cleaning depending on operating conditions.
When the pressure drop across them exceeds the limit set in the plant design, or on the schedule we hand over with the plant — whichever comes first.
We can give a preliminary estimate if you send the water analysis and the required capacity, then confirm the design and final offer after the survey.
